Driving Directions

You should have received pictured directions with your confirmation letter.  You must bring these directions with you to find the cabin.  We also suggest you arrive during daylight hours the first day so you can find your cabin.  It is a lot harder to find at night for the first time.  Daylight hours in the summer usually run from 5:30am to 8:30pm.

From the Town of Dubois, Wyoming:

Go West exactly 4.4 miles from the Taylor Creek Exxon Station(Near Super 8 Motel) on the west side of Dubois on Hwy 287. Turn left into the Stoney Point area.   Our cabin is exactly 2 miles once you make the turn off Hwy 287.  You will cross the Wind River and come up to an intersection.  Turn right on Up Hill Road.  As you start to climb the mountain, do not take the first road to the left.  It is a private driveway.  About a ¼ mile up the mountain, you will pass “The Post” residence on the left and a house on the right.  After passing his residence, you will come to a Y in the road in about 300 yards.  Take the left road.  Just a little over a mile from the Y, you will see our Yellowstone Cabins sign in our driveway on the left.  We are the last business/residence on the left on Uphill Road.

Most common mistakes when finding our cabins is:

1. Guest take the first road to the left as they climb the mountain.  That is a private driveway.  You will past a house on the right and a mailbox on the left that states "The POSTs" before you make your left turn.

2.  Guest take the right at the Y instead of turning left.  About 300 yards past "The POSTs" sign you will come to a Y in the road.  Take the road to the Left.  We are about another mile on this road on the left.

3.  Guest do not set their odometer at the Taylor Creek Exxon and do not turn exactly 4.4 miles west off Hwy 287.  All the roads look the same.  It is much simpler to just set the odometer and go exactly 4.4 miles west on Hwy 287 from the Taylor Creek Exxon in Dubois, Wyoming.
